It was a dream of our prodigious chairperson to procreate MBA programme in this institution and it came true in the year 2002. The department started functioning with an intake of 53 students in the first year. Since then, the department has steady and sustained growth. The students are well placed in concerns of repute. At present, the fifth batch of 62 students are in the 3rd semester.

The department functions in a separate block - PG block. The department is flourishing with fully equipped classrooms and a seminar hall.

The department has a full – fledged library covering a building area of 10000 sq.ft. The library has more than 20000 volumes of books on various titles. Also it has a good number of business magazines and national and international journals. The digital library services are extended to the PG students.

The college provides every PG students with individual computer terminals. Internet facility is also offered for all at free of cost.

Mr. P. Neelamegan heads the department, and there are seven other qualified and dedicated faculty members with wide range of knowledge and experience.

Every semester one industrial visit and two guest lectures by eminent persons are organized. Students are given in – plant training in various industries and one such training given lately was by Punjab National Bank.

Students are encouraged to have knowledge about the day – to – day global business trend by subscribing for business newspapers and business magazines. Seminars in the classrooms are conducted to improve their writing and speaking skills. To add more, a department journal – “Business Eye” – is brought out.

There is also inter – collegiate symposium named “Synergy’ 07” organized to exploit the leadership, teamwork ability and participation skills of students.

Apart from all this, on the lighter side the department conducts cultural programmes for the students to enhance their skills and talents.

The department seeks to maintain quality and discipline and also train the students to become excellent professionals.
